IDR is seeking a Natural Developer to join one of our top clients remotely. This role involves supporting enterprise-level supply chain and warehouse operations through mainframe and Natural development. The organization specializes in logistics technology, emphasizing high-quality system support and development.
Position Overview for the Natural Developer:
- Develop and maintain Natural applications within an enterprise supply chain environment
- Support production systems, including incident response and operational support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements
- Maintain source control and adhere to SDLC best practices
- Support batch processing, job scheduling, and mainframe concepts related to logistics operations
Requirements for the Natural Developer:
- Proficient in developing in Software AG Natural or strong relevant experience with 4GL/mainframe development plus Natural exposure
- Working knowledge of ADABAS concepts (data structures, access, performance considerations)
- Experience supporting production systems in an enterprise environment (incident response, on-call rotation a plus)
- Familiarity with mainframe development practices such as batch processing, job scheduling, source control, and change control
- Strong domain familiarity with supply chain and warehouse operations, including inventory control, picking/packing/shipping processes, and cycle counts
