IDR is seeking a Credit Representative to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Houston, TX. This role offers a chance to work within a company that focuses on managing receivables and credit policies for residential and small commercial accounts. The position emphasizes credit and collections, with a focus on learning and growth in a supportive environment.
Position Overview for the Credit Representative:
- Manage receivables through risk assessments for credit policy exceptions, monitoring status and coordinating activities supporting the company’s customer credit and collections policies for residential and small commercial accounts.
- Review files, reports, credit bureau documents, and financial statements of customers to ensure they meet deposit requirements.
- Extend credit to customers in accordance with established policy and terms.
- Analyze customer’s financial situations and determine whether to extend credit beyond established policy criteria.
- Carry out the established program for the follow-up and collection of accounts receivable.
Requirements for the Credit Representative:
- At least 6 months of credit and collections experience
- Knowledge of Credit Policies & Regulations (PUC – Public Utility Commission familiarity a plus)
- Experience with Contractual Documents
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and other related applications
- Ability to handle difficult customer interactions and review customer financial statements or credit reports
