IDR is seeking a Sr Sourcing Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Houston, TX. This role is within a leading organization in the energy industry, focusing on strategic sourcing initiatives for power generation maintenance materials and services. The position offers the chance to lead complex procurement projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Position Overview for the Sr Sourcing Specialist:

• Establishes strategic direction and manages the development and implementation of sourcing initiatives for assigned categories.
• Leads complex sourcing projects, negotiations, and contract lifecycle management.
• Coordinates cross-functional teams and communicates with management at all levels.
• Analyzes market conditions, financial data, and performance indicators related to sourcing activities.
• Develops and executes business unit-specific sourcing plans to meet strategic objectives.

Requirements for the Sr Sourcing Specialist:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong negotiation skills
• 7 years or more of supply chain sourcing experience
• Experience with complex contracting, cost savings, and performance standards
• Excellent communication skills across all management levels
