IDR is seeking a Data Engineer (ETL) to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Greenwood Village, CO. This role involves building and maintaining high-impact data pipelines within a dynamic environment focused on data processing, security, and optimization using various cloud and big data tools. The position provides an excellent chance to work with industry-leading technologies and a collaborative team.
Position Overview for the Data Engineer (ETL):
- Responsible for day-to-day data processing and upkeep of existing jobs in a hybrid work environment.
- Focused on building, optimizing, and securing scalable data pipelines utilizing SQL, Python, and Spark/Scala.
- Involved in architecting and ingestions of new datasets and ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Engages in troubleshooting, automated monitoring, and setting best practices for data operations.
- Collaborates with team members to improve cloud cost efficiencies and job performance.
Requirements for the Data Engineer (ETL):
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark/Scala for data ingestion, transformation, and encryption.
- Experience with Data Lake architectures and cloud-agnostic data processing.
- Knowledge of optimization techniques for cloud costs and performance enhancements.
- Strong communication skills and a personable demeanor to interact effectively with team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
