IDR is seeking an SOC Analyst to join one of our top clients in Fort Worth, TX. If you are looking for a potential long-term opportunity to work within an ever-growing team-oriented culture, please apply today!Position Overview for the SOC Analyst: This contractor will provide direct operational and engineering support to the SOC Engineering function, augmenting existing capabilities rather than replacing them. The role focuses primarily on SIEM and XDR platforms, with an emphasis on alert review, rule creation, tuning, and detection logic improvement. Limited automation work may be supported under guidance. The contractor will work closely with the SOC Engineer to maintain and improve alert quality, assist with detection development, and support ongoing security tool enhancements. Responsibilities include independent monitoring, analyzing, and triaging security alerts, investigating events across SIEM and XDR tools, and supporting incident detection and response activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of experience working in a SOC or Security Operations role
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with SIEM and XDR or EDR platforms
- 2+ years of experience using security tools monitoring, investigating, and triaging security alerts and incidents
- Security Certs such as CompTIA CySA+, GCED, or Security+
- Flexibility to support continuous security operations, including rotating evening or overnight shifts during the World Cup period from June 11 through July 19, 2026
