IDR is seeking a Utility CIS Data Migration Lead to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN. This role is at the heart of a major utility transformation project, focusing on leading complex data migration and archiving efforts for next-generation Customer Information System implementations in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview for the Utility CIS Data Migration Lead:
- Manage and lead the Data Migration & Archiving workstream responsibilities, including data cleansing and archiving activities.
- Develop and maintain strategies for data conversion, cleansing, and archiving, ensuring governance, profiling, mapping, testing, and quality thresholds are met.
- Define the scope of conversion and archiving, including legacy and target systems, and manage the dependencies and schedules for mock cutovers and dress rehearsals.
- Lead validation cycles, including pre-load/post-load checks, defect resolution, and load acceptance criteria.
- Assess data impacts on edge systems and ensure cross-system integration readiness, working closely with technical partners.
Requirements for the Utility CIS Data Migration Lead:
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience in technology delivery, transformation programs, or IT operations, with a minimum of 3 years leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading matrixed or cross-functional delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of the technology delivery lifecycle, including design, build, test, and deploy.
- Experience coordinating large-scale testing, data integration, or system implementation efforts, with the ability to manage risks and resolve complex delivery issues.
