IDR is seeking a Sr. PL/SQL Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Brentwood, TN or Plano, Texas. This organization operates within the software development industry, focusing on database solutions and systems designed to support research, diagnostics, and enterprise applications. Position Overview for the Sr. PL/SQL Developer:
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database objects and systems based on end-user requirements
- Optimize database performance through tuning and refactoring existing architecture
- Collaborate with front-end developers, database personnel, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Document database applications, procedures, and SOPs for future reference
- Support new technology initiatives and improve current database capabilities
Requirements for the Sr. PL/SQL Developer:
- B.S. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of hands-on Oracle relational modeling, database development, and Shell scripting experience
- Extensive experience with Oracle Database DDL, DML, PL/SQL, SQL languages, and related tools such as SQLplus, SQLdeveloper, and modeling software (SQLmodeler, ERWIN, TOAD)
- Proficiency in Unix and Shell scripting, as well as version control using VSS or similar tools
- Demonstrated success in leading database transformation projects and performance tuning
