Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Service Center Operations Lead:
Lead and manage the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Oversee inventory management, utilizing inventory systems and POS tools to maintain accurate records and optimize stock levels.
Supervise and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a contract-to-hire position, requiring flexibility for overtime and extended hours during the initial ramp-up phase.
Required Skills for Service Center Operations Lead:
Proven experience in a shipping/receiving warehouse lead position, with a strong understanding of inventory management systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
Familiarity with POS tools and platforms used in inventory management.
Forklift certification is advantageous, or willingness to obtain one.
Must be local to Memphis, TN, or willing to relocate prior to the start date.
