IDR is seeking a Back End Software Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Chantilly, VA. This role involves developing and maintaining backend systems within a high-security environment for a leading organization in the technology and defense industry.
Position Overview for the Back End Software Engineer:
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs to support various applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable, reliable software solutions
- Utilize programming languages such as Python to implement robust backend functionalities
- Work with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to deploy applications
- Design and optimize databases using SQL and NoSQL for efficient data storage and retrieval
Requirements for the Back End Software Engineer:
- 5+ years of experience in software development with programming languages and back-end software design, such as Python
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL
- Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative and cross-functional team
- Experience with object-oriented programming, RESTful APIs, and microservices
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required to start
