IDR is seeking a Telecom Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Longmont, Colorado. This role involves supporting a variety of telecom platforms and systems within a dynamic environment focused on telephony services and VoIP solutions. The company operates within the telecommunications industry, providing critical communication infrastructure and support.
Position Overview for the Telecom Engineer:
- Configure, implement, and support Session Border Controllers, with a primary focus on Oracle SBC.
- Manage VoIP call flows, SIP trunking, and session management.
- Install and integrate telecom equipment into the production environment.
- Troubleshoot telecom signaling, SIP issues, and call routing problems.
- Support migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern telecom platforms such as Intrado.
Requirements for the Telecom Engineer:
- Strong expertise in SBCs (Session Border Controllers), especially Oracle SBC.
- Hands-on experience with telecom platforms such as AudioCodes, Metaswitch, and Telcobridge.
- Deep knowledge of VoIP systems, SIP signaling, call routing, trunking, and session management.
- Ability to support migrations from legacy or internal telecom systems to platforms like Intrado.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in telephony signaling, media paths, SIP traces, and call-flow diagnostics.
