IDR is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Richardson, TX. This role is within a prominent logistics and transportation organization focused on optimizing freight operations and implementing process improvements. The position involves managing transportation integration projects across various freight modes to deliver cost efficiencies and operational excellence.
Position Overview for the Transportation Project Manager:
- Support the integration of the new CSS division into the organization, focusing on standardizing transportation processes
- Manage transportation initiatives across all freight modes, including LTL, small package, ocean, and some TL
- Collaborate closely with warehouse, sourcing, and operations teams to identify and implement productivity and cost-saving initiatives
- Drive operational analysis, internal alignment, and process change during system and workflow transitions
- Lead execution on transportation projects with a focus on measurable cost synergies and process improvements
Requirements for the Transportation Project Manager:
- 8+ years of Transportation Operations experience, with hands-on ownership at the PM or Manager level
- Proven experience delivering process change and cost savings, aligned through internal stakeholders (operations, sourcing, warehouse teams)
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of fast execution in integration or change-driven environments
- Experience leading transportation process and system integrations across multiple freight modes (LTL, small package, ocean, some TL)
- Supply chain or logistics background with working knowledge of data analysis and operational KPIs
