IDR is seeking a Field Technician 1 to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Smyrna, TN. This role involves providing installation and support services in various industry-standard areas, including voice, data, fire alarm, fiber, and security systems. The position offers hands-on field experience and opportunities for professional development in a dynamic environment.
Position Overview for the Field Technician 1:
- Provide a range of installation and support for moves/add/changes, service, rollouts, and special projects per industry standards.
- Proficient in two of ten areas of focus: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burg Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, Networking.
- Assist in training of less experienced technicians in scopes of work and administrative tasks.
- Take direction and learn from more experienced technicians on jobsites.
- Complete administrative job requirements in a timely fashion and maintain company vehicle and tools if assigned.
Requirements for the Field Technician 1:
- Must have a minimum of one year as a Basic Installer or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of network cable certification and CCTV is necessary. LAN and telephone, including associated network device installation quality standards, would be helpful.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, etc.) required.
- Must be willing to travel to support the company’s business, including working on long-term projects over multiple weeks.
