IDR is seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst to join one of our top clients in Nashville, TN. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with indirect tax regulations and supporting various tax-related processes. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Indirect Tax Analyst:
• Maintain the indirect tax compliance process, including business license files and sales tax audit support. • Assist with customer tax exemption certificates and ensure accurate record retention. • Prepare and process original and amended indirect tax returns and payments, ensuring all filing deadlines are met. • Communicate effectively with state and local taxing authorities, branch locations, and internal teams. • Support sales tax audit processes and provide necessary documentation to state auditors.
Required Skills for Indirect Tax Analyst:
• High School Diploma/GED with 1+ years of related experience in indirect tax accounting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. • Experience with Vertex Series O and Vertex Returns Software is preferred. • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with moderate complexity.
