Position Overview/Responsibilities for the System Administrator:
– Provide daily onsite support, managing and troubleshooting Windows servers and Microsoft environments
– Handle tasks related to Office 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Exchange, and Azure AD
– Serve as backup for the team's AV administrator, including basic AV equipment and classroom tech support
– Respond to and manage IT service tickets, and assist with cybersecurity-related responsibilities as they arise
– Engage in cross-team collaboration on projects and provide hands-on support at school sites when needed
– Participate in building and maintaining team documentation
– This is a contract-to-hire position with an initial term of 3 months
Required Skills for System Administrator:
– 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
– Proficiency in ESX – VMWare or Active Directory
– Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS
– Knowledge of Office 365, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Exchange / Exchange Online, Azure AD and Intune (preferred)
– Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, system troubleshooting, and basic AV support
– Strong multitasking abilities, flexibility, and adaptability
– Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
