IDR is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Eagan, Minnesota. This role involves working within the healthcare technology sector, focusing on designing and implementing data solutions to support analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives. The position offers a chance to collaborate with internal teams on innovative projects in a fully remote environment.
Position Overview for the Senior Data Engineer :
- Join the Radiology Data and Analytics team to design and implement a Radiology data warehouse and analytics environment using Microsoft Fabric
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to develop data architecture, pipelines, and modeling solutions
- Integrate institutional and Radiology data sources to enable reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives
- Utilize expertise in data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and SQL to ensure scalable and secure data solutions
- Work within healthcare data privacy and security standards, contributing to cross-functional teams and mentoring peers
Requirements for the Senior Data Engineer :
- Proficiency with Microsoft Fabric, including data warehouse, data pipelines (ETL/ELT), OneLake, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts such as dimensional/star schema and semantic models
- Experience developing robust, parameterized, and testable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
- Expertise in advanced SQL/T-SQL, including query optimization and complex transformations
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for data wrangling and automation
