IDR is seeking a Network Engineer III to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, TX. This role is within a leading organization, focusing on designing and maintaining complex network infrastructures to ensure optimal performance and security.
Position Overview for the Network Engineer III:
- Designs, implements, and maintains secure campus-wide network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and WAN-connected sites.
- Provides expertise in network security, capacity planning, and technology evaluation.
- Mentors junior engineers and ensures compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinates with cross-functional teams and participates in on-call rotations and network change windows.
- Requires strong experience with BGP and Cisco ACI.
Requirements for the Network Engineer III:
- 8+ years of professional experience within IT
- 3+ years of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP routing and Cisco network configuration
- 2+ years with Cisco ACI, SDN, and network virtualization
- Experienced in network automation with Python/Perl and tools like Ansible or Puppet
- Experienced in network security, firewalls, VPNs, and monitoring tools (Solarwinds, AKIPS)
