IDR is seeking a QA Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Coppell, TX. This role focuses on ensuring the integrity and quality of data within an enterprise data and analytics environment, supporting business decision-making through rigorous validation and automation processes.
Position Overview for the QA Engineer:
- Responsible for validating data pipelines, semantic models, transformations, and metadata integrity within a cloud-based data platform.
- Develops and maintains automated QA frameworks utilizing Python, PySpark, and Databricks notebooks.
- Collaborates with data engineers and stakeholders to troubleshoot data issues and ensure data quality across reporting layers.
- Conducts testing of ETL/ELT processes, KPIs, and reporting tools like Power BI.
- Ensures adherence to data governance standards and supports CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Requirements for the QA Engineer:
- 6 years experience working on Data Platforms
- 5 years experience in Data Engineering
- Hands-on experience validating Databricks pipelines (PySpark/SQL/Delta Lake)
- 5+ years of proficient SQL writing skills for data validation, profiling, and troubleshooting
- Experience testing ETL/ELT flows across Medallion architecture (Bronze – Silver – Gold)
