IDR is seeking a Data Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Coppell, TX. This role is focused on designing, building, and maintaining enterprise data pipelines and architectures leveraging Databricks and Azure cloud platforms. The company is a leader in data-driven solutions across multiple industries, providing innovative services and technology.
Position Overview for the Data Engineer:
- Develop, implement, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and architectures using Databricks, Azure, and related tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust data solutions that support analytics, BI, and machine learning initiatives
- Ensure data quality, governance, and reliability through validation, monitoring, and automation
- Design scalable ETL workflows and ensure performance optimization for enterprise data needs
- Maintain documentation for models, algorithms, and data lineage to support transparency and compliance
Requirements for the Data Engineer:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering (10 years working on Data platforms)
- Strong expertise in Databricks (PySpark/Scala, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog)
- Hands-on experience with Azure or other cloud platforms (AWS/GCP also acceptable)
- Experience designing and developing scalable ETL pipelines and enterprise data workflows
- Proficient in SQL (advanced querying, optimization, joins, window functions)
