IDR is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Coppell, TX. This role is within a data-driven organization focused on leveraging enterprise data models and advanced analytics to support decision-making. The position combines expertise in Power BI visualization with data engineering skills in Databricks to build scalable, high-quality data products.
Position Overview for the Senior Power BI Developer:
- Design, develop, and optimize enterprise data models, metrics, and Power BI reports that support data-informed decision-making.
- Build scalable, high-quality data products integrating Power BI with Databricks, including automation and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective visualization solutions.
- Implement Power BI governance standards and security features such as row-level security (RLS).
- Utilize expertise in data warehousing and architecture principles to enhance data pipelines and curated layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
Requirements for the Senior Power BI Developer:
- 8+ years of combined experience in Data Engineering and BI development.
- 5+ years experience with Power BI: DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, KPI framework creation.
- Hands-on experience developing interactive dashboards and certified datasets for enterprise users.
- Strong hands-on skills in Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog).
- Advanced SQL skills for querying, validation, and performance optimization.
