Position Overview & Responsibilities for the Engineering Technician:
- Provide advanced technical support and resolve complex issues escalated from Tier I, ensuring smooth system functionality
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on systems and components to maintain optimal performance
- Test existing equipment and software, and evaluate new systems to enhance system capabilities
- Develop and create comprehensive documentation and support materials for curriculum and instruction
- Manage and triage technical tickets and bugs before escalation to the engineering team
Required Skills for the Engineering Technician:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or three to five years of relevant experience
- Expertise in supporting technology, particularly learning management systems
- Strong foundational understanding of web frameworks and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Kibana, and RPA
- Ability to work in a 24×5 environment, with occasional evening, weekend, and holiday support
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to commute to the office in Alpharetta, GA, three times a week
