Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Lead Test Lab Engineer
- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of incoming test requests
- Communicate with test request originators to resolve ambiguities and gather additional information where needed
- Attend weekly test schedule meetings to assist the test engineering team
- Support test engineers and technicians in setting up equipment and instrumentation
- Observe ongoing testing to ensure key parameters and applicable testing standards are followed
- Assist in the creation and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Required Skills for Lead Test Lab Engineer:
- 5+ years related work experience in testing is required.
- Experience working with HVAC and/or Refrigeration equipment/company and/or manufacturing environment
- Led teams with direct reports, ensuring effective supervision and guidance.
- Managed test requests and validations, collaborating with engineers and technicians to formalize best practices.
- Oversaw ongoing testing to confirm compliance with key parameters and applicable standards.
- Provided input on test execution feasibility, resolving ambiguities with request originators and addressing scheduling or resource concerns.
