IDR is seeking a Remote Hands Technician to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Phoenix, AZ. This role is within the data center and telecommunications industry, focusing on providing on-site and remote technical support to ensure smooth data center operations. Position Overview for the Remote Hands Technician:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support within data center operations
- Install, rack, and cable equipment with precision and efficiency
- Perform cross-connects and support various customer and internal service requests
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience through timely execution of tasks
- Collaborate with team members to maintain data center standards and safety protocols
Requirements for the Remote Hands Technician:
- 3+ years of experience in Telecommunications or Data Center related field
- Understanding of telecom structured cabling standards
- Understanding of network device deployment
- Understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Branch Circuit Monitoring System (BCMS)
- Must Be Able to: Lift and handle up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and stretch as required, climb ladders (up to 16 feet) to reach plenum spaces
