Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:
- Apply accounting principles to analyze financial data, prepare, and post journal entries.
- Maintain and oversee accounts and records, focusing on disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.
- Perform account reconciliations, research discrepancies, and record necessary corrections.
- Compile and analyze financial information to ensure accurate transaction recording and report preparation.
- Lead special projects and recommend process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency.
Required Skills for Staff Accountant:
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications with advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of confidentiality with financial information.
