Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Intake Coordinator:
• Serve as the initial contact for new patient referrals, gathering essential information and verifying insurance details. • Collaborate closely with sales and pharmacy teams to ensure seamless patient care and timely processing of referrals. • Input patient demographics, clinical data, and insurance information into the system accurately. • Communicate insurance coverage and financial responsibilities to patients and referral sources. • Maintain a positive and supportive atmosphere, emphasizing compassion and personal interest in patient care.
Required Skills for Intake Coordinator:
• Preferred background in medical, healthcare, or pharmacy settings. • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. • Ability to handle patient records and interact with referral sources effectively. • Reliable transportation and commitment to working onsite. • Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality of patient and proprietary information.
