Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior FP&A Business Analyst:
Collaborate with FP&A leaders and technical developers to improve financial systems and streamline forecasting models. Analyze and optimize FP&A processes, including forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling, to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Gather and document system requirements, ensuring alignment with financial reporting and planning objectives. Develop and execute test plans and user acceptance testing to validate system functionality. Ensure data integrity and quality across financial planning and reporting systems.
Required Skills for Senior FP&A Business Analyst:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred but not required. 5-10+ years of experience in FP&A or financial systems roles, preferably within the Life & Annuity insurance or financial services industries. Proficiency with financial planning platforms such as Hyperion, Anaplan, or Adaptive Insights. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial processes and recommend improvements. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between finance professionals and IT developers.
