IDR is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join one of our top clients in New York, NY. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Desktop Support Technician:
- Provide technical support for handheld devices such as PDAs, iPods, and iPads, ensuring seamless operation for our client’s stores.
- Manage and update inventory status using CMDB, and process RMAs to maintain a healthy stock of repaired devices.
- Collaborate with our client’s team to filter, assign, and update tickets daily, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
- Support both in-person and virtual meetings, with a requirement to work on-site Monday through Thursday and virtually on Fridays, covering West Coast hours.
- Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish to support our client’s diverse IT team and documentation needs.
Required Skills for Desktop Support Technician:
- Proficiency in hardware, software, and networking, with experience in devices such as Bluebird, Zebra, and iOS.
- Familiarity with operating systems like Remedy, Zabbix, and Maquetador – DAM, as well as tools like Power BI.
- Ability to manage multiple open cases simultaneously, prioritizing and responding to incidents and requests promptly.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to read and write in both languages.
- Must have a personal laptop and be located in the greater NY/NJ area, with the ability to travel to our client’s location as needed.
