IDR is seeking a Jr Accountant to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Arlington, TX. This role involves managing grant funds and budgets across multiple funding sources while providing crucial fiscal support to grant recipients and funding agencies. The position offers the chance to work in a dynamic financial environment with an emphasis on compliance and reporting.
Position Overview for the Jr Accountant:
- The Accountant will manage grant funds and budgets across multiple funding sources by providing fiscal support to grant recipients and funding agencies.
- This includes preparing and submitting expenditure reports and reimbursement requests, maintaining monthly Excel reporting to sub-contractors, and reconciling General Ledger accounts.
- Responsible for reviewing payment requests, assisting with CAFR completion, and supporting various related financial tasks.
- Prepare, compile, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and performance reports to funding agencies.
- Collaborate with department staff and managers to support financial goals and budget accuracy.
Requirements for the Jr Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting preferred)
- 0–1 year of accounting, finance, or related professional experience
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and journal entries
- Experience preparing or supporting financial reports and budget tracking
- Strong Excel skills (updating spreadsheets, compiling data, reporting)
