IDR is seeking a Backend Services & Gameplay QA to join one of our top clients in Los Angeles, CA. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Backend Services & Gameplay QA:
- Guide an external test team to ensure comprehensive test suites are developed and executed.
- Oversee the quality of backend services related to onboarding, tutorials, and player rewards.
- Design and implement API and service-level test plans, ensuring seamless end-to-end user journeys.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities for regression and contract testing.
- Provide expert gameplay feedback and ensure new features align with the game’s competitive nature.
Required Skills for Backend Services & Gameplay QA:
- Minimum of 3 years in Gameplay QA, SDET, or backend-focused testing roles.
- Proficient in service-oriented architectures, microservices, and API validation tools.
- Experience in debugging distributed service issues using logs and telemetry tools.
- Achieved Gold rank or higher in League of Legends, with a strong understanding of competitive gameplay.
- Passionate about working on League of Legends and enhancing player experiences.
