IDR is seeking a Field Technician 3 to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Smyrna, Tennessee. This role is ideal for experienced technicians in the telecommunications and networking industry, providing services on client sites and leading onsite tasks with minimal supervision.
Position Overview for the Field Technician 3:
- Act as a lead on site, inspecting and auditing technicians’ work as needed
- Assist in training less experienced technicians and subcontractors on installation procedures and best practices
- Perform installation and service work on customer sites according to schedule
- Provide regular updates to project management and client teams in a timely manner
- Serve as the point of escalation for client concerns and resolve issues as they arise
Requirements for the Field Technician 3:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Technician Two or equivalent
- Ability to operate network certifiers and proficiency in multiple focus areas such as Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burg Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, Networking
- Must complete and maintain BICSI Installer 2 Copper and Fiber certifications
- Must be willing to travel support ongoing projects, including long-term assignments
