IDR is seeking a Hardware Support Technician to join one of our top clients in Lander, WY on September 6th – September 7th . This role is pivotal in assisting with a large-scale hardware refresh project, focusing on upgrading systems from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Weekend Hardware Support Technician – Lander, WY:
Assist in replacing outdated devices and installing new hardware as part of a Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration project. Ensure all necessary software is installed and functioning on new machines. Migrate user files and data from old devices to new hardware. Provide Tier 1 support to end users during the transition, including basic troubleshooting and setup. Collaborate with our client's team to address any additional IT support needs.
Required Skills for Weekend Hardware Support Technician – Lander, WY:
Basic IT support experience, with a focus on Tier 1 level tasks. Familiarity with Windows operating systems, specifically Windows 10 and 11. Experience with computer setup, file migration, and software installation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple device replacements. Strong attention to detail and a customer service mindset.
