Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Sr. Cost Accountant:

Ensure adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements, leading the preparation and review of complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.

Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes, analyzing cost variances, product margins, and profitability.

Collaborate with operations and finance teams to support strategic costing decisions and prepare financial forecasts and budgets.

Serve as a subject matter expert on NetSuite, optimizing financial processes and maintaining data integrity.

Facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and addressing audit findings.
Required Skills for Sr. Cost Accountant:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CMA certification is a plus.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting.

Proficiency in GAAP and experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
