Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Patient Connection Prep Associate:
- Review complex outpatient service and specialized procedure orders for accuracy
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Confirm benefits and identify any authorization requirements
- Review medical necessity and generate patient liability estimates
- Calculate patient financial responsibility, including deductibles, co-pays, and coverage amounts
- Ensure all required data is collected and accurate
Required Skills for Patient Connection Prep Associate:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Revenue Cycle or related clerical accounting/finance roles
- At least 1 year of direct experience within Healthcare Revenue Cycle
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in using Epic
- Familiar with medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT codes
- Strong math skills and payer benefit knowledge; able to calculate patient financial responsibility
