Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:

Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

Maintain and balance general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions, and by resolving discrepancies.

Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system change.

Assist with reconciling, auditing, and researching daily store paperwork and site level discrepancies.

Perform and/or give leadership to cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fuel accounting functions.

Assist with compliance reviews and the preparation and distribution of financial statements.
Required Skills for Senior Accountant:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5+ years professional experience in accounting across a variety of accounting functions.

3+ years professional experience using modern, advanced accounting software or ERP systems.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA candidate.

Advanced Level MS Excel skills.
