Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Referral Coordinator:

– Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and visitors, creating a welcoming environment
– Effectively communicate in a professional and positive manner
– Handle difficult and stressful situations calmly and professionally
– Operate general office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, and telephones
– Organize information or data for easy retrieval and use
– Successfully complete training orientation program(s) and competencies
– Use Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications

Required Skills for Referral Coordinator:

– Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical/ambulatory care setting
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
– Basic knowledge of insurances, including eligibility and benefit coverage
– Critical thinking skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– High school diploma, GED or higher level degree
– Preferred: Experience with electronic scheduling and insurance/HMO authorizations

Pay range: $18-$20/hr
