Senior Blockchain Consultant
- Ongoing contract (Client maintains right to hire after 3 months though rarely exercises this right)
- Location: Manassas, VA
- C2C Pay Rate: $85.00
Responsibilities:

Provide strategic assessments and platform recommendations for financial blockchain applications using technologies such as Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, Hyperledger Fabric, and Corda.

Collaborate with internal development teams to design, prototype, and implement blockchain solutions around tokenization, smart contracts, interoperability, and consensus mechanisms.

Optimize systems for scalability, gas efficiency, transaction speed, and cost-effectiveness, including exploration of Layer-2 technologies, sharding, and rollups.

Advise on infrastructure architecture, including node management, network operations, uptime strategies, and governance models.

Lead security assessments and smart contract audits, identifying vulnerabilities and proposing actionable remediation plans.
Requirements:

7+ years of hands-on experience in blockchain development and consulting, with deep knowledge of multiple platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos, Hyperledger, Corda).

Proven track record designing and deploying secure, scalable, and performant blockchain systems in production environments.

Expertise in consensus mechanisms, transaction processing, network protocols, and distributed ledger architectures.

In-depth experience with smart contract development, blockchain security best practices, and audit processes.

Strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape for blockchain applications in financial services.
