IDR is seeking a talented Animation Artist II to join one of our top clients in a fully remote role. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled animator to bring characters, environments, and in-game sequences to life for a leading game development company.
Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Animation Artist II:

Create high-quality animations for characters and environments

Refine and repurpose classic animations for modern gameplay systems

Collaborate with technical artists and engineers to optimize animations for performance and seamless integration

Troubleshoot technical challenges in animation pipelines and workflows in partnership with developers

This is a contract position through February 27, 2026
Required Skills for Animation Artist II:
-
3+ years of game development experience

Excellent knowledge of Maya and modern game engines (Unreal, etc)

Development experience of Animation Systems (Sequencers, Blueprints, State Machines, in-engine animation and rigging tools, etc)

Understanding of animation principles, body mechanics, acting, posing, and storytelling techniques

Demonstrated excellence in collaboration and communication within cross-disciplinary teams
