IDR is seeking a Sr. Area Controller to join one of our top clients in Charlotte, NC. This is a key leadership role within the Accounting & Finance team, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, cost accounting, and internal controls across multiple manufacturing sites. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Sr. Area Controller:

Lead the financial reporting, planning, and analysis processes for assigned manufacturing sites.

Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.

Review and approve journal entries proposed by Plant Accounting Personnel.

Analyze variances to standard to develop insights for operational improvements.

Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics to support operational decision-making.

Maintain and enforce strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills for Sr. Area Controller:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to lead and develop a team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.

In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
