IDR is seeking a PR Strategist to join one of our top clients in Los Angeles. This role is perfect for a data-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Position Overview/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic, innovative PR campaigns with a strong focus on music (approx. 80%) and additional support across animation and consumer products (approx. 20%).
  • Manage award campaign submissions and coordinate related initiatives for high-profile entertainment properties.
  • Write tailored press materials including pitches, press releases, media alerts, and executive talking points.
  • Proactively pitch media and secure interviews and coverage for key stakeholders and talent.
  • Represent the company at in-person events in Los Angeles, with flexibility for occasional travel.
  • Collaborate with internal communications teams to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments such as Music, Events, Consumer Products, and Finance.
  • Track campaign performance, compile media coverage reports, maintain presentation decks, and coordinate travel for talent and executives.

 

Required Skills:

  • Must be based in Los Angeles and available for in-person meetings and events.
  • 10+ years of Entertainment and Music PR experience, with a strong background in earned media and leading campaigns.
  • Skilled in working closely with high-level executives and talent in public-facing roles.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute PR strategies across music, TV/animation, and consumer products.
  • Strong writer with a track record of securing top-tier media coverage and managing detailed internal logistics and reporting.
