Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Application Manager:
- Oversee application management and project coordination across multiple teams and work streams
- Collaborate with security architects and engineering teams to ensure secure application design and deployment
- Manage vendor relationships, including negotiation, performance tracking, and contract management
- Ensure compliance with state agency IT security policies and regulatory frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, CJIS
Required Skills for Application Manager:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in application management, project oversight, and cross-functional team coordination
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including identity management, encryption, and network segmentation
- Experience with secure CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code security controls (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, GitOps)
- Familiarity with security tools and platforms, container security, vulnerability management, and SIEM systems
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management, including negotiation, performance tracking, and contract management
