IDR is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Telecom/Network Engineer to join one of our top healthcare clients in Phoenix, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about networking, cybersecurity, and cutting-edge enterprise infrastructure. This hybrid position offers remote flexibility after the first 3 months. Equipment will be provided. 6 month contract, potential to extend.

Position Overview / Responsibilities:
As a Telecom/Network Engineer, you will:

Design, operate, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across routing, switching, and wireless disciplines

Support and manage network security tools including NAC, TrustSec, ISE, VPNs, DNS security, and secure web services
-
Provide advanced troubleshooting and assist with security incident response in collaboration with the Help Desk, ITOC, and SOC
-
Utilize and maintain software-defined networking (SDN) technologies such as SASE, firewalls, WAN/LAN, and cloud networking tools
-
Leverage automation and scripting tools like Splunk, Ansible, Python, and .Net

Participate in or lead Agile or Waterfall project-based implementations and upgrades
Required Skills & Experience:

Proficiency in routing, switching, wireless, and network security
-
Hands-on experience with tools such as Cisco TrustSec, ISE, VPN solutions, and secure DNS/web services

Familiarity with SDN solutions, cloud networking, and hybrid network environments

Scripting experience with Python, Ansible, .Net, and logging/monitoring via Splunk

Understanding of Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Cisco certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA)

Experience in large-scale healthcare or enterprise IT environments
