Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Claims Specialist:

Administrative oversight of Workers Compensation, General Liability, Property, Auto, and Cargo claims in partnership with our client's Third Party Administrator and Carriers.

Assist in managing the Workers Compensation and General Liability defense counsel litigation guidelines.

Manage strategic key performance indicators (KPI) with third party TPA and law firms and monitor compliance.

Supervise third party administration (TPA) WC and GL claim unit handling procedures and results.

Participate in claim review meetings with internal and external stakeholders, covering overall WC and GL.

Attend and participate in internal and external continuing education related to liability insurance coverage, litigation management, regulatory reporting requirements, etc.
Required Skills for Claims Specialist:

Minimum of 3+ years of commercial General Liability, Property, Auto, and Cargo claims experience with an Insurance Carrier, TPA, or Corporation.

Experience with managing subrogation and tendering of claims.

Basic understanding of actuarial reserving methods and reporting.

Ability to work effectively with law firms and third party administrators.

Self-starter who takes initiative to solve problems.
