Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant (Accounts Payable):

– Oversee Accounts Payable functions including vendor, customer, and banking responsibilities
– Handle general ledger entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
– Manage grant tracking, submittals, and intercompany invoicing
– Familiarize with enterprise zone certifications and renewals
– Proficient in billing, posting, and sales tax reporting
– Understand property tax AP posting and processing
– Support financial system training and process improvements
– Participate in a new system integration project

Required Skills for Staff Accountant (Accounts Payable):

– 5+ years of experience in overseeing Accounts Payable functions
– Experience with general ledger entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
– Knowledge of grant tracking, submittals, and intercompany invoicing
– Familiarity with enterprise zone certifications and renewals
– Proficiency in billing, posting, and sales tax reporting
– Understanding of property tax AP posting and processing
– Experience with system integration: POs, inventory, intercompany transactions, and projects
– Ability to support financial system training and process improvements
– Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
– Construction or Telecom industry experience is preferred
– Bachelor's degree or degree in accounting highly preferred

Compensation Details: $35-37.50/hr W2
