Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Azure Cloud Engineer:
– Monitoring, supporting, and enhancing the security of current and future environments
– Evaluating and automating the scaling and capacity requirements within environments
– Troubleshooting and resolving environment performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, etc.
– Providing escalated support to end users and service desk technicians
– Implementing new environments and technologies
– Working with teams to integrate infrastructure components into processes and procedures
Required Skills for Azure Cloud Engineer:
– Proficiency in Microsoft Azure solutions – compute, storage, network, and security
– Strong knowledge of Backup, Restore, Recovery, and high availability strategies for Microsoft Azure
– Understanding of Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP
– Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, and Windows Authentication
– Network and TCP/IP routing/subnetting
– Excellent PowerShell skills
– Working knowledge of VPN connectivity
– Experience with Azure AD, Active Directory, including GPOs
– Experience configuring single-sign-on utilizing enterprise applications in EntraID
