Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Technician :

Act as a lead on site, directing, inspecting, and auditing technicians' work as needed

Assist in training less experienced technicians in scopes of work and administrative tasks

Train subcontractors and our client's team on theory and practices for reliable quality installations
-
Perform installation and service work on customer site, based on schedule
-
Provide regular updates to PMO, Resource Center, and Service Center in a timely manner
-
Act as point of escalation for clients; resolve issues where possible, otherwise escalate to FSS and Project Manager as needed

Complete administrative job requirements in a timely fashion and maintain company vehicle and tools if assigned

Meet with clients to conduct job walks and submit info for bids/estimates, identify obstacles/hurdles, and make a materials list for potential new work
Required Skills for Technician:

Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal

Self-starter with initiative and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to handle stress and provide exceptional customer service

Proficiency and knowledge in multiple key accounts
-
Ability to operate network certifiers
-
Proficient in eight of ten areas of focus: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burg Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Access Points, Networking

Must complete and maintain BICSI Installer 2 Copper and BICSI Installer 2 Fiber certification
-
Must complete product specific trainings (CommScope, Leviton, AXIS) as outlined by our client
