Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Narrative Writer:
– Drive character development through your craft and game development experience on a cross-disciplinary team
– Create and communicate characters’ personalities through narrative character design
– Negotiate the creative space between cherished characters and the IP for the product, your team, and the players
– Craft detailed documentation to support alignment on the core truths and personality of the characters and the world
– Collaborate with artists, designers, and other team members by providing and receiving creative/team feedback
Required Skills for Senior Narrative Writer:
– 5+ years of narrative writing in the gaming industry
– Established excellence in leadership of creative products on cross-disciplinary game development teams
– Professional experience crafting succinct, effective, and memorable VO lines for characters within a specific game context
– Demonstrable ability to create the highest quality stories through themes, characters, and worlds as shown in past professional or personal work samples from relevant media
– Extensive experience with technical game implementation through a variety of software tools for narrative deliverables and VO
