Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Database Administrator:
This role involves managing and optimizing database systems, including creating production databases, monitoring performance, and making system modifications to enhance efficiency (performance tuning). The person collaborates with programmers and analysts, ensures consistency across systems, and provides technical assistance. Responsibilities also include logical and physical data modeling, ensuring data integrity, handling recovery procedures, maintaining security, and ensuring compliance with EIR Accessibility standards. The role requires experience in systems analysis or programming, with strong knowledge of database structures, programming languages, and current technologies.
Required Skills for the Database Administrator:
- 6+ years’ experience in Oracle database design, analysis, and performance tuning
- 6+ years’ experience designing enterprise applications and/or services
- 6+ years’ experience creating technical and functional design documentation
