Lead Conversational AI Engineer
- Ongoing contract (Client maintains right to hire after 3 months though rarely exercises this right)
- Location: Malvern, PA (open to relocation)
- C2C Pay Rate: $70/HR
Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture and development of conversational AI solutions across chat and voice channels.
- Design and implement bot flows, integrating with enterprise systems, APIs, and knowledge sources.
- Guide the technical roadmap for platforms like Kore.ai and Genesys, aligning with product and UX teams.
- Ensure quality, scalability, and security of AI-based interactions.
- Mentor developers, review code, and drive best practices in bot development and natural language design.
- Track performance, using analytics and user feedback to improve containment, deflection, and overall experience.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years in Conversational AI.
- Strong experience with Kore.ai, Genesys Cloud, or similar chatbot/IVR platforms.
- Practical knowledge of NLP/NLU, dialog management, and intent design.
- Experience with cloud platforms and API-based integrations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across product, design, and engineering teams.
- A passion for creating intuitive, human-like conversations that actually solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with LLM integration, voice biometrics, or personalization strategies.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design in bot experiences.
