IDR is seeking a Manager, General Accounting to join one of our top clients in Brentwood, TN. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to lead and manage a significant portion of the general accounting functions within a corporate setting. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Manager, General Accounting:

• Manage the monthly closing process for assigned areas and review the general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.

• Prepare and review detailed monthly variance analyses and verify the integrity of monthly financial results.

• Assist in maintaining detailed internal control documentation in accordance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the standards established by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

• Research and analyze accounting issues, such as the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure the company's accounting practices are in compliance.

• Mentor, train, and develop a team of professional and clerical Accounting team members.

Required Skills for Manager, General Accounting:

• 5-8 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, or related field.

• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Master's degree in Accounting or related field is desired.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

• Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for policy development.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
