Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Process & Controls Automation Engineer :

– Design, develop, maintain, and commission automation and control systems for industrial equipment.
– Program PLCs, drive systems, and combustion control systems, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components.
– Develop SCADA applications, operator interfaces, and custom computer programs for system interfaces.
– Assist with troubleshooting and resolve issues related to systems.
– Create project manuals, electrical schematics, and scope-of-work documents.
– Develop cost estimates and budgets for electrical systems and work on-site for system commissioning.
– Transfer knowledge to customers through training and support.

Required Skills for Process & Controls Automation Engineer :

– Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
– Minimum of 5 years in the chemical or manufacturing industry, with experience in industrial processing equipment, instrumentation, control, PLCs, combustion systems, and system maintenance.
– Experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs and drives.
– Proficiency in CAT, AutoCAD, SCADA systems, and FMS applications.
– Programming, networking, and database management skills.
– Ability to travel internationally (up to 30% of the time).
– Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
