IDR is seeking a dedicated and experienced Oracle DBA to join one of our top clients in Nashville, TN or Plano, TX. This role involves maintaining production, reports, and development databases, performing proactive capacity planning, and ensuring database availability. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Oracle DBA:

  • Creating and maintaining production, reports, and development databases

  • Performing proactive capacity planning and monitoring to ensure database availability

  • Installing patches and new versions of the Oracle/SQL Server database for compatibility with existing applications

  • Planning and implementing backup and recovery of databases

  • Managing encryption on Production and non-production databases (SSL & TDE)

  • Migrating Non-CDB database to CDB database as needed

  • Implementing and enforcing security for all databases

  • Providing technical assistance to application development teams in designing various objects in the database schema

Required Skills for Oracle DBA:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 3-5 years of database administrator experience

  • Experience with Oracle or SQL Server

  • Knowledge of physical database design

  • Proficiency in Oracle/SQL Server and operating system performance monitoring

  • Experience with Database backup(Oracle/SQL Server) and recovery scenarios

  • Experience with Cross Database Replication(Eg. Golden Gate) product is preferred

  • Understanding of Database security management

  • Knowledge of how Database acquires and manages resources

  • Experience in migrating code, database changes, and data through the various stages of the development life cycle
